Cryptie Buy

Cryptie accommodates purchase orders ranging from €200 to €100,000. Exceptions to these limits may be considered under special circumstances. Please reach out to us if you need an exception due to your specific situation.

Cryptie can dispatch small digital asset orders on the same day of purchase. However, larger orders exceeding €500 are subject to a 14-day retention period. These protocols are in place as safety measures to safeguard both Cryptie and the public from financial fraud and hacking. In instances where someone's bank account has been used to make an unauthorised purchase order with Cryptie, we have the capability to refund the funds.

For customers looking to get into digital assets, but don't want to deal with the complexity that comes with them, we offer Cryptie Backup. You have full ownership over your assets, however, we keep them safe for you and can complete actions with them at your request.

There are two standard methods we use to accept payments. Depending on the amount of the purchase order, we may offer you a card checkout option, or we may provide you with the necessary details to execute a bank-to-bank transfer.

Cryptie Backup

There are numerous instances where individuals have lost access to extremely valuable digital assets. With Cryptie Backup, our clients will never encounter such a situation. Generally, customers of this service fall into two categories:
  • Customers who prefer their assets to be completely managed for them by a team of professionals.
  • Customers who don’t require Cryptie to manage their assets, but desire an ultra-secure backup of their assets to prevent any potential loss.

Cryptie employs a unique set of encryption mechanisms to securely store your data on our hardware based in Ireland. Our storage method ensures that your data remains uncrackable, both by us and any potential attacker. We’ve coined this as ‘ethereal storage’ because while our system holds your assets, we don't actually really store your assets.

Please be aware that if you opt for our Asset Management service, Cryptie stores your data in a slightly different manner. In this case, Cryptie can access your data, but it still remains inaccessible to any third party, even in the event of a security breach.

No, your assets remain secure even in the event of a data breach at Cryptie. Our system is designed such that your assets are protected, even if our stored data were to be compromised.

Yes, you have the option to cancel this service at any time. For your privacy, your asset information will be permanently deleted upon cancellation.

Cryptie Ransom

It depends. Our service is mainly to help those who've already decided to pay the ransom. There's a many versions of ransomware in circulation, with new variations being created every day. In situations where cracking a particular ransomware is even possible, it generally takes a skilled security team and an expensive amount of work time to do it.

If you'd like advice or have a specific query for us, please use the contact form on the ransom page to get in touch with us.

In some scenarios, the ransom demand may exceed your capacity. In such cases, there are two possible outcomes:

  1. Negotiate with the ransomers for a more manageable amount. Cryptie can assist you in this process.
  2. Choose not to pay the ransom and restore your systems. This may result in data loss if no backups are available.

We believe that only the victims of a ransom should decide whether or not to pay. In many instances, paying a ransom may be the only viable option for a victim. The key consideration for any ransom victim is the likelihood of achieving a positive outcome by paying the ransom. Each situation is unique, and the outcome of paying a ransom varies. Cryptie always ensures our customers are aware of the probable outcomes of their chosen actions.

We are here to support our clients in achieving the best possible outcome. We prioritise customer privacy and ensure that all dealings with us remain confidential.

Yes. We acknowledge that there may be ransom situations that extend beyond ransomware. Regardless of your specific ransom situation, we are here to assist.

Cryptie Escrow

Cryptie employs an Escrow process designed to prevent parties from either cheating or failing to fulfill the agreed-upon Escrow transaction conditions. If a party is dishonest or fails to meet their obligations under the escrow conditions, the transaction will be considered unsuccessful. In such cases, all assets and half of the escrow fee will be returned to their original owners.

This is defined by the initiator of the Escrow during the Escrow Scope. Within the form on the Escrow page, there are the following options:

  • “I, the initiator will pay fees”: You, the person submitting the form, will pay the fees fully.
  • “One of the additional parties will pay fee”: One of the other parties involved will pay the fees fully. You’ll be asked to specify which one.
  • “The fees will be split among all parties”: Fees will be split among all parties equally.
  • “Other (Please specify in Conditional Details)”: If the prior options don’t cover your needs, you can select this option and specify your needs.

We return half the transaction fee because we don’t want to penalise our clients when a transaction, that they hoped would be successful, fails. Cryptie doesn’t return the full fee as we need to cover the costs of our time spent working on the transaction. We also believe this penalty for a failed transaction, can help our clients gauge if the parties they’re transacting with are serious.

If you'd like additional costs placed on a party if they fail the escrow conditions, please see "Can I impose a penalty on a party who attempts to cheat or fails to meet the escrow conditions?" below.

Yes. We offered a tailored escrow service. That means we work with whatever assets you have and to any escrow condtions you require. Your escrow transactions details are always kept confidential.

If you’d like additional penalties on parties who fail to meet their escrow conditions, you may request the parties involved provide a down payment to Cryptie. Cryptie will retain the down payment if a party fails to meet their escrow conditions, and return it if they fulfill the conditions. Dishonest parties will generally avoid any form of down payment.
